We have been raising Schlecht Hatchery Chickens for over 25 years. We first did it for our own use while raising our six children and then got away from it for about 7 or 8 years. When our oldest son got married, his in-laws talked us back into raising chickens again. In the last twelve years we have raised from 300 to 1000 chickens per year. We also raised turkeys over those years but got away from them two years ago when one of our other sons got married in Colorado. Just didn't want to have our hired help contend with turkeys as they can be hard to raise when you are with them everyday yourself. We have high regards for Etta and her family as they live and breath their job during the hatch period. We will be returning for years to come or our health runs out. Our recommendations are very high where Etta and her family are concerned.

Our order arrived at the Post Office Thursday afternoon. We were
concerned with the late arrival (chicks usually arrive on the 7 AM truck).
On arrival one duck was dead, but everything else was healthy and very
strong.
No extra help was needed to get them settled in. This was our 6th order
this year, and your chicks, ducks and gosslings were more vigorus than
what we bought from larger hatcheries.
Previous orders, from the other guys have include hlaf dead on arrival and
such weak birds that losses were heavy during the first 24 hours. My
daughter also pointed out - no runts, not even among the 52 cent birds.
This morning your birds ALL looked great. We are very pleased and
impressed - we will be buying from you in the future! We needed some
"fresh blood" in our poultry project and we are very pleased with what you
have provided.
Just one question: A couple of birds have nacked necks - are these
Turkins? No problem, we were just wondering.
Many Thanks,

Etta, I just wanted to send a quick note and let you know how well our cornish cross chicks are doing. They are @6.5 weeks, and we really need to butcher them this weekend. They have grown very well, and when we let them out in the morning they run to the weeds and grass to "graze". They will strip a section about a foot deep by 50 foot wide of all the vegetation in short order. I must admit, I had my doubts when I ordered, but I am a loyal customer now! The turkeys and laying hens are doing great as well.
Thanks again,
Jeff

This is Alaina Hill and this past February I purchased 5 Red Sex-Linked pullets from you. I just thought I'd let you know I entered my chickens and the eggs they produced in the Mississippi Valley Fair and my chickens won reserve champion in the Brown Egg Laying Hens category and my eggs won overall grand champion. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to purchase these wonderful chickens from you.

My son decided to try your White Mallard last year at our county fair because they were different and unique. He came away with the Grand Champion Pair of Ducks and got lots of questions as to where he had got them. Thanks for such great service and high quality. All of his other poultry received blue ribbons.

| Hello Etta, I received the eggs yesterday. Your packing job was excellent and every egg was in perfect shape!! Those eggs were so big and clean, I am thrilled. Thankyou for sending the extra box of mystery eggs, those little guys will be a fun surprise! Etta, I did not see a flier for your chicks in the box if you want to get one out to me I may buy some chicks from you and eggs if you will be selling more. Thanks, Amy |
