We raise our own flocks of birds to make sure that you get the best of all birds. It is a family operation that ensures everything gets the best of care. Our flock manager makes suer that our birds are getting the best diet and that they are a quality bird. Our colored chickens have good markings that are required for their blood line which ensures high quality layers and grand champion at local and state fair. When ordering from us we base our sales on quality not quantity.
 

 

JUMBO CORNISH ROCKS

The FABULOUS TENDER BROAD-BREASTED CORNISH CROSS chicks are truly a meat-type bird with large drum sticks, broad breast, and are fast maturing. They may be used as fryers at a very young stage or let grow for a roasting bird. These birds are ready to be dressed in 6 to 7 weeks.

ANCONAS

A good choice of chicken to have for large white eggs. Anconas are very active and like to scratch for food. You don't have a big feed bill with these hens. A great producer.

WHITE CRESTED BLACK POLISH (Top Hats)

Add a little fun to your chicken flock. The Top Hats are an eye catcher. They weigh about 4 pounds. Lay medium white eggs. A pretty good layer. They have a black body and white top hat when matured. They are also beardless.

SEX-LINK


The Golden Comet has been widely acclaimed in all areas where brown eggs are preferred. The reason is simple - they are one of the finest brown egg layers available today. They mature early and lay eggs of excellent size and quality. An extremely quiet bird that is able to withstand the colder, non-insulated laying houses. The chicks may be sexed by color - pullets red and roosters white. The mature pullet is golden red in color, but has some white showing throughout her neck and back. The cockerels are very similar to the white rock size and with very little color around the neck, wings, and tail. Good bird to raise without leg problems.

RHODE ISLAND RED
These birds are noted for their great egg-laying ability. They are sure to supply you with an abundance of eggs. You will find them to be a gentle bird and a pleasure to raise.

BARRED ROCKS
One of the all-time favorites and is the ideal American chicken. Mature body weight 5 to 5.5 lbs. Excellent layer. Lays medium brown eggs.

BUFF ORPINGTON
Rich golden brown egg layer. Large, 6 lb., quiet bird, good setter. These birds are known as your "farm chicken." A Schlecht Hatchery favorite.

Silver Lace Wyandotte
A beautiful chicken with its laced feathers. The mature weight is about 6 lbs. Not a big chicken but hardy and good layers. The Wyandott's have a rose comb. These hens lay no matter what the weather is.

AMERICAUNA
This breed belongs to the American Class. They do have tail feathers and muffs. Our hens lay different shades of blue and green eggs. It is said these eggs are low in cholestral. All I know is they lay very well and beautiful colors.

WHITE LACED RED CORNISH
This type of Cornish has a tight muscled wide breast. A meaty bird. They grow at a slow rate. When matured they dress out 5-6 pounds. A chicken people buy if they want a short plump bird with not much fat. They also have a beautiful color pattern.

GOLD OR SILVER SEBRIGHT

The sebrights are rich in their look of color. Their feathers are trimmed in either gold or silver with black.  When ordering you can prefer which color but accept either color or both colors. If we don't hatch enough of one color will put the other color in to keep the orders going.

SILVER SPANGLED HAMBURG BANTAMS

These birds are defently a "show bird". It is a Dutch breed. They carry themselves so gracefully. The feathers are perfect. If looking for a chicken to show this would be a good choice. We've been working at this breed for 3 years to get the perfect looking Hamburg Bantam.
